Intimate outdoor spaces

All apartments are designed with large terrasses tucked in between the curvature of the building mass and the sandy dunes. All apartments offer plenty of daylight and large windows provide spectacular views of the ocean. Situated in the marvellous landscapes of Skagen the buildings hide themselves in the sandy dunes. We arranged the overall layout of the masterplan, so that the buildings create intimate outdoor spaces to accommodate shelter from the harsh winds at the northern tip Denmark.

Shipwrecks were often repurposed to construct homes during the so-called black period of 1870s Skagen - this was a great inspiration to our design.

We often find inspiration in local history to ensure a design that fits well with its context.
